President: Steve Potter

Steve Potter is a resident of Arizona. He is a professional event planner, and has worked for Arizona State University for over 30 years. He is very active in the community in which he lives. He is President of Girth & Mirth of AZ, President of Phoenix Storm Rugby Football Club, and sits on the boards of the Grand Canyon Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and a variety of other organizations both gay and straight. He has a strong background in nonprofit organizational structure and has been instrumental in helping to revamp and reorganize BGMO, into the organization it is today. He grew up in Illinois and has been in Arizona for the last 30 years. He has a Bachelors of Arts degree with a double major in Theater and Management, as well as a Masters in Education. He has been a instrumental in helping the big man’s movement in Arizona for over 20 years.

James Mendel is a resident of Texas. He is a Controller for a private company. He is very active in the community and a member of Dallas Fort Worth Big Men Club (DFWBMC). He has a Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Accounting , as well as workered towards Masters in Accounting. He has been a active member in Big Men Organization since 2010 serving as Treasurer the majority of the time.

Chuck Spady, Born in Philadelphia, Pa. age 46, partnered with Micheal Ray Mitchell. Chuck is the Owner of OCD-STUDIOS, and has provided graphics for the Drag Queens in Las Vegas, bear groups, BGMO , Las Vegas Pride Magazine and many other clients that are in Las Vegas or the worldwide network of clients. Started designing in 2008 and have blossom where the heart and soul of his creation are done with what you love too.

Steve has been a part of the chub and chaser community for almost 20 years now. He had one of the first chub/chaser personal webpages out there featuring chubby celebrity pictures, chub/chaser stories, and a whole lot more. He created New England Chub and Chaser Association (NECCA) in Boston to help re-establish the chub chaser scene in New England for many years. Then he moved to Dallas and helped out the group there Dallas-Fort Worth Big Men’s Club (DFWBMC) and eventually became President. The group has parties that can range from 25 to 50 chubs and chasers 2x a month. He also helped manage MCA for the past 3 years. MCA is a chub event held the last weekend of July every year in OKC. It’s one big chubby weekend pool party. The 21st MCA was a big success and he’s already helping with the one for 2016. He also ran the first chub cruise out of Galveston, TX for BGMO in 2015 and will probably try it again at the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017. Steve has an BA in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance. He currently works as a Microsoft Office programmer dealing with Excel and Access VBA and SQL and can be found on many chub and bear sites under the name WhaleRider.

Damon Blumberg has been with BGMO from the start and has been with ABC (It’s prior name) since 2008. He has helped as a web designer, volunteer and has been a president of a club since 2008. He currently helps the clubs with web design, ideas and volunteers if he is able too. Damon also is a computer repair business owner for over 16 years and enjoys helping his community with online, 1-on-1 OR group classes whenever he is able too. 2015 Convergence is his 3rd Convergence Damon has been a part of and 2 of those Convergence he was a co-coordinator for the event.
